Maeve Arella Morningstar gets by life as a normal high school teenage girl, living life in one of the largest cities in the world, NYC.

     One day Maeve breaks into her high school for a high school prank. She becomes freakishly involved in a school accident, unexplainably nearly killing a student. A mysterious man who happens to be in charge of a boarding school, shows up to her home promising her adoptive parents false promises and to teach Maeve discipline. Convinced, they send her away to this new mysterious boarding school in the middle of nowhere that turns out to be for magical creatures. Escorted by her new personal hot body guard, Derek Huntsman, that happens to be the headmasters son.

     Maeve's life gets turned upside down as she learns to navigate her new life. Things start to unfold around her as she discovers she is descended from good and evil and struggles against her very nature to decide who she will be. 

     She creates new relationships, discovers newfound abilities, discovers her lineage, creates new friends, new romances, and discovers new creatures she never knew existed. Most of all, fighting against magical beings and solving magical crimes to save the world. All while trying to make it through high school. 

     With the help of Derek Huntsman, will she rise to be good? Or succumb to evil?
