Harry Potter is captured, the Order is missing, and Voldemort has claimed success over the Second Wizarding War.
Hogwarts is now Travesty: a school run for students to become Death Eaters, and a holding center for muggles and blood traitors waiting to be chosen for the educational reformation of entertainment, torture, and slavery.
To make matters at hand worse, Hermione Granger is thought to be dead but has been held in Malfoy Manor for seven years with nothing but a blindfold to shield her from the horrors that take place there, and the ongoing torture to reveal the remaining whereabouts of the Order. She is not privy to the fact that she's kept alive as an investment for the connivingly charming and wretched right-hand for Voldemort: The Blight.
