As it turns out, Summer Torres has an older sister, Penelope Torres, who tends to follow the rules by the book. She has been forced to leave her summer internship at one of the most prestigious editing companies in New York because her sister wants to go to nationals.
Her dreams were pushed aside while her sisters dream was Margot's main focus, when was she not? Margot has always had Penny's approval, so she needed this in order for her growing bond, with her younger daughter, could continue to stay steady, but what Margot didn't realize that this is where Penny decided that she was done with being perfect. She was forced to drop everything, including one of the biggest opportunities she could've ever imagined just so that her mother could please her younger sister.
