"Don't you think Snape's been acting weird?"

"He hasn't taken any points from us yet. It's been a week."

"He doesn't glare as much either."

"I bet it has something to do with the new teacher."

The golden trio leaned back from their little conspiracy huddle and looked at the head table. Snape sat eating his food and, just as he had every day of the week leading up to, he was engaging in a conversation with their new History of Magic professor.

"Somethings up with them."

"You know, I have dessert back in my quarters. I guarantee it's better than anything they'll serve here, that is, if you wanted a taste?"

"Oh my Merlin. Are you flirting with me, Severus? And to think, it only took you a week to break."
