People began disappearing within the lands of hermitcraft. Eventually, they send out search parties, leading to their god and admin, Xisuma, being captured. They were unable to find him for weeks, and once they did, it was too late already. He had been broken by torture and corrupted, allowing whatever caused the corruption to access his powers freely. Since then, he had been nothing but a mindless machine of death and destruction, causing the leftover people to form alliances in the attempt of stopping this corruption.
"As common as it was these days, it's always painful to see someone die."
