Mayla Teieri: a girl who as a child found herself infatuated with football and its players. That infatuation turned to adoration, which quickly turned into every moment of her free time being spent kicking a ball around. She had a natural talent for the sport, anybody could see. She promised herself she'd never let anything make her stop playing, no matter if things got hard, she wasn't allowed to give up unless she was the best or dead. Until one day, although she thought her resolve to be strong, it turns out all it took was the loss of one of the best friends to shake her. Seeing how much the sport meant to her, and how badly this abandonment had shaken her, Mayla's half sister, Anri, secures her a spot in the project that will change Japan's way of football forever. But, what will a 16 year old girl do when trapped in a facility with 299 other people, all of whom are boys?
