After learning of her husband's death in a helicopter crash, Liberty decides it's time to create a new life for herself. She moves to San Francisco and pursues her dream of becoming an artist. Hardening her heart against the pain she's lived through in the past, she's able to move on with her life, thanks to some help from her business partner and roommate, Adair. The death of her father, ten years later brings her full circle, back to her hometown in Washington State and back into the presence of her controlling mother.
