Marionette

Lorelai Hastings is the youngest daughter of a once-respected family fallen into debt. Despite her beauty and intelligence, Lorelai is constantly punished for her refusal to conform to societal norms. When she is threatened by her own father to marry a wealthy bachelor against her will, Lorelai finds herself trapped and under constant surveillance. Her only hope for escape lies in taking matters into her own hands.

Felix Leighton, wants nothing more than to live his life leisurely. Wandering eyes and loose lips were nothing more than a pleasant greeting and he took pride in giving everyone something to talk about by overshadowing the next in line, his older brother, Jarius Leapold. They lived their lives avoiding each other's presence but when the king would fall ill, all eyes were on the two sons, and they had no choice but to finally meet face to face.

As their paths cross, Lorelai and Felix must navigate the expectations and pressures of their respective worlds, but nothing is ever easy when you're not the one pulling the strings.
