She was beautiful, with dark ebony skin and a short, thick mane of ash-colored and brown hair. Her cheekbones were high and prominent and her jawline was sharply defined. Her plump lips and thin yet sharp eyebrows lent her a goddess-like air.
But her life was full of torment and heartbreak.
She wanted death to finally release her, but she was condemned to satisfy the grim reaper's lustful desires.
With each transaction she made, she knew she was trading away more and more of her remaining time.
How much would this sacrifice cost her?

He was smoking his cigarette while staring at me on the roof top of the demonically rich kids' school, ready to fall to my death.

"You know my sister tried to do this,"

He spoke, his voice dripping with coldness, and a menacing stare burned into my soul and walked up to me as I was shivering in the rain, sniffling and crying with red, swollen eyes.

His presence caused my spine to tingle with fear as his dark eyes stared me down and a frown creased his face.

He threw the cigarette on the ground and stomped on it, breathing in and out to recover from the cold weather.

"So? What does that have to do with me?" I responded, a note of annoyance evident in my voice.

"She sold her soul to the grim reaper for death. She always told me she regretted it and sometimes she doesn't because he saved her.

"W-Who's her grim reaper..."

I didn't want to talk to this hot, weird-ass stranger who was in my business, but I was too curious to keep quiet.

"Her husband."

"Why are you telling me this?"

I said, my voice dripping with worry as he smiled in a terrifying way.
The darkening of his eyes sent shivers down my spine, slightly open my mouth.
