For what felt like ages Daniels world was wrecked. The government controls the world. The only land that isn't desert waste was the old U.S.. Districts 1-63 1 was the poorest 63 was the richest. Daniel and Axel, his best friend lived in district 6. What makes this story so interesting is killer eagles, when you hear their screech you know something bad is about to unfold.

I felt the tears rise and I looked down for a minute, gathering all of my resolve. I looked up again and stared him right in the eye. "You know what? I trusted you!"
