cherie rose bowman, mainly known as "cherry", had never intended for her friendships with the pogues to get messy. but when she breaks up with john b after being together for nearly a year, that's exactly what happened. sure, she still talked to them, still hung out occasionally, but it wasn't like how it was before. and while john b is a little cold after their breakup, she still wants to be friends, but he's simply not ready yet.

so when cherie starts to get a little lonely and needs some helping hands fixing her car, she turns to jj, the only person she knows who can work around an engine. while they had never been close when she was with john b, they quickly bond during their time fixing her car, and cherry finds herself in the very, very messy situation that is having feelings for your ex's best friend.
