I'm writing my pc adventures from an older ttrpg called Con X (conspiracy x). Instead of your run of the mill high fantasy setting this world is based off of one much like our own.
But, here in this world things like the paranormal like esp abilities, ghosts, vampires, werewolves, and aliens are very much real. Not everyone knows this though, even when they exist and walk among normal every day people, only those who are the extra normal or apart of the handful of govt. agencies that make sure they stay as myths and conspiracies; the average Joe is none the wiser of who their neighbors or even estranged family members really are.
So come along and see from the pov of two of my own characters, one a personal project of Blackbook and the other a kickass agent with a pension for setting things ablaze when things get tough.
(spoiler? 1st story was written literally a few months before stranger things even aired which blew mind after I made my character 💀)

*UNDER SERIOUS EDITING* What if I told you all things that go bump in the night were real? All the monsters from scary stories. You wouldn't believe me right? That's insane, or so Brinley had once thought. Brinley Zora, your normal everyday 24 year old video game streamer. The Marionetteʼs Puppeteer (Volume 1)
I don't know if I died or not, but the moment I regained my consciousness, I was already standing on a field full of grass and surrounded by trees. "W-what is that...?" A screen was floating in front of me. 「 Welcome, new adventurer! 」 "Adventur...rer?" But..... I'm so small! My body is the size of a 9 year old kid! And I don't even know what the hell happened to me. After I read some information on the screen, I was amazed that the world I was in was like a VRMMORPG. Magic exists and so does the level. "Huh?" When I look at my status, I'm not neither a mage that cast magic nor a swordsman that wields a sword, instead.... I'm a puppeteer! Will I survive in this new world despite knowing that I don't have a place to stay or food to eat? Note: This is more likely in Fantasy. Magic goes bruh broom brr. Also, there is some terms in this stories that is hard to understand like skills, ultimate skill, so read the prologue for that one. {EDITING PROCESS} *BOOK ONE OF TWO* When a high school student named Davina Smith faces her senior year after a tragedy in her family, suddenly finds herself appealed to the new kids in town. She never had an interest in befriending anyone besides her childhood friends Emma and Jackson, But these kids had something about them that just made them stick out. Maybe it wasint such a bad idea to expand her social life. What could go wrong? Right..? ~~~~~~~~~~~ Davina Smith, a 17 year old with trauma of losing those close to her from past experiences and losses, is soon appealed to the new kids in town. Or more like appealed to the attractive black haired, green eyed boy. She's never been the one to want to have a relationship. Is now the time? Xavier Witts, a 18 year old boy hiding a nothing more than a couple lies... or so he says. Xavier never wanted to get attached to someone he could lose. He never to wanted to go through that again. But what happens when suddenly that person fights against his measures of protection? What happens when that person is willing to risk their life just to be with him? Xavier furrows his eyebrows in pain. A tear of his own falling down his face. "No," he says shaking his head. "No. You've never been a bother to me. You aren't weak. And you most certainly aren't worthless." I gasp to breathe, and he continues talking. "What you are is an amazing person who hasn't let all of this crazy bullshit affect her. You handled it like a champ. What you are is a strong, brave being that has stood by my side." I breathe as he leans closer. "What you are, is the love of my life...."Complete

Do you believe they take the smartest people away to utilize their immense knowledge? How about keeping secrets of otherworldly beings? Do you think they have them imprisoned as well? The answer to all of these questions is, most likely. But one can only discover these answers if they find themselves locked in the very place that holds these secrets. In the very place that is speculated but never spoken of. The very place with all of the control, all of the darkest realities hidden from you to remain in ignorant bliss. In the Facility. Disclaimer: This is my own work, if a character seem to be similar, it may be due to a coincidence or may also be because I was inspired of their work. I tried my best to make a unique content. Pushing off the sink in irritation, I turn to leave but he grabs my bare upper arm. My blood boils in annoyance while my skin tingles with excitement. He perks a brow, obviously sensing it. "Your aura is in disarray," he states bleakly. "Yeah, no shit Sherlock." My Earthly phrase earns me a tilt of his head and I scoff. "Where have you been, Beta?" "On a mission in the Xin Galaxy." "Okay? Would it not be wise to inform your OA of any missions that require your departure? Let go." I pull against his grip and he reluctantly lets go. "Yes, however, this mission did not require your presence nor your opinion," he replies candidly. My eye twitches and wordlessly, I turn away once more but his grip on my arm returns, this time more gentle, as if pleading rather than restraining. "I only meant that this mission did not require you to accompany me as my OA in pretence. It's safer to stay with your younglings out of sight anytime the role is not needed," his voice softer. "You disappeared after you..." I pause and shake my head. I feel embarrassed to say it out loud to him. I feel embarrassed at how much it affected me. "After I kissed you," he finishes for me, the silence following the words adds to the thickness growing in the air. _____ Wrongly accused of being a rebel conspiring against supernatural beings, whom she never thought existed outside of her world of anime fiction, a nightmare plagued Lyla becomes a wanted fugitive. she and her two young children are forced into hiding in a foreign yet beautiful world thousands of galaxies away from Earth to escape her death sentence. She is brought forth before the two heirs to the throne of the Universe. One of whom feels a strong need to hide and protect her while the other maliciously hunts for the wanted criminal, thrusting her into an unexpected journey of war, romance, and ancient secrets about the origins of her haunting nightmares.
A hybrid, werewolves, and a scooter (gxg)
As a Meta/Vampire hybrid, Hunter has seen some crazy stuff. She's worked hard not to be killed by supernaturals and by the people who "took care" of her, done her best to blend in and pretend to be the perfect hunter that never failed missions. But she was done with that, especially now that she finally had a chance and a reason to get the revenge she craved for on the people that took her family away. What she didn't expect was that someone would sweep her off her feet. Literally. Casey was just your everyday four-hundred-year-old werewolf who enjoyed the simple things in life like riding scooters and painting stuff around. After a certain rainy - and kinda dangerous - night, she decided to move in with her pack to a different university, but she didn't think her troubles would follow when she got there. After the two of them cross paths on an unexpected day, everything will start to change. For better or for worse.Complete
Hybrid: The Awakening
Nobody expects something supernatural to happen to them. Those kind of things only happened in comics. Fairy Tales. Unrealistic dreams that you'd fall asleep to, silently wishing for them to come true. At least, that was what these three teenagers thought. It turns out that there is so much more to their simple universe than they ever could have imagined. After each finding a strange alien artifact, the teens are suddenly thrusted into an intergalactic war. Alien species everywhere are trying to hunt down the most powerful weapons in the galaxy. And they are the ones in possession of it. When they run into a girl that claims to be from another planet, the three kids learn about the power given to them and the responsibilities that come along with it. Instantly, they are the most popular people in the galaxy. And for once, popularity couldn't feel more like a curse. Fighting grudges, fear, and distrust, the Chosen humans must travel to the one place on Earth where they might be safe. And with strange new powers, the teenagers struggle to live in the unfamiliar world they thought they knew so well.Complete
