Horikoshi Miyomoto knelt before the alter of his bedroom, his hands clasped together as he bowed his head to the picture of his ancestor, Musashi Miyomoto. He often would sit in front of this alter for hours, even days on end, honoring the memory of the one who earned his respect with no display. His knees were callused from the endless hours of kneeling, his arms felt as though they were made of tungsten, and his back and chest muscles were screaming in agony. But he paid it no mind, for this was his ultimate way to show homage to that who saw the world for what it was. Darkness. Disease. A collapse just waiting to happen, just around the corner.

Horikoshi slowly opened his eyes, staring into the embers of what remained of the insence on the alter. Arose to his feet, giving another deep bow before exiting, his katana hanging from his hip. He seeked to create the world anew; unfortunately, without leads or any idea of how he may accomplish such a thing. He glanced out the window in disgust at what his once-beautiful world was. It was all smog, accompanied by the hustle and bustle of the world below, people yelling pointlessly at such trivial complications.

This world, which he once hoped for, now filled him with disgust and anguish.

He wished nothing more than for it all to fall and disappear into the murky waters of the sea.

The sun hung low over the bustling town of Shinsenchou, casting an orange glow across the winding streets. Amidst the fading energy of the day, Shin Mirai, a young man plagued by self-doubt and a sense of failure, shuffled down a narrow alley. Shin had always felt like an outsider in Shinsenchou, a place where abilities were celebrated and power revered. His lack of any special talents had earned him the self-deprecating title of "Humanity's Greatest Loser." Shin's chance encounter with a group of thugs would soon set in motion a series of events that would challenge his perception of himself and the world around him. To the thug's surprise, he was able to perfectly mimic the fighting techniques of the town guards, effortlessly defending himself. This unexpected display of skill piqued the interest of Zento Dassou, the heir to the prestigious Dassou clan, who had been struggling to master his family's signature technique. Meanwhile, in the Kasetsu clan stronghold, Raito Kasetsu grappled with his own philosophical crisis. Blessed with the ability to detect lies, Raito had grown disillusioned with the world, believing that the future was nothing but a series of false promises. His nihilistic worldview was challenged, however, when reports of disturbing phenomena began to surface - entire villages vanishing without a trace, leaving behind only perfect, empty voids. In a tense and awe-inspiring ceremony, Shin, Raito, and Zento combined their abilities and knowledge, successfully reforging the Divine Covenant. The divine judgment ceased, and the disappeared lands and people began to return, though altered by their experience. Shin, Raito, and Zento, forever changed by their shared ordeal, parted ways, each facing an uncertain but promising future, bound by the renewed covenant between the mortal and divine realms.

Scribe has spent her entire life in shame after a single incident during her exchange year at UA resulted in her expulsion from the school. She's dreamed of schoolmate Shota Aizawa ever since, hoping he will forgive her and come for her. Then the USJ incident unexpectedly drags her back into the midst of Japanese hero work from her American bookstore. Except Aizawa isn't the man who comes for her afterward. EXCERPT: "Can I help you?" His face was hidden by the hoodie, but she had an odd feeling he wasn't as old as she'd thought. She could see his mouth. It was wide and generous, but the lips were oddly scarred and chapped looking. "You're the one they call Scribe, aren't you?" He grinned lazily. "I've heard of you." "Really?" She sat up straighter. Her work with heroes was not well known, even though All Might had paid her a visit or two here at the bookstore. For the most part, she was just hero support, and only on very rare occasions. She peered at the hooded figure curiously. "From who?" "We have mutual friends. In Japan." He cocked his head thoughtfully. "I could swear I've met you before. You're very familiar." She had an odd feeling he was right. Though she couldn't quite place him...maybe if he took off his hoodie, though... "You weren't by chance in Japan recently, were you?" He reached across the desk, taking her hand in his as if it were the most natural thing in the world. And I'm letting him. Scribe felt a strange tingle where he touched her skin. It was not an unpleasant sensation. "I... No. I wasn't in Japan." "Really?" He tilted his head to one side and with his free hand, he pushed back the hoodie, revealing a blue-white shock of hair and red eyes. "I could swear I saw you...but maybe sensed is a more appropriate word. Yes, I could swear I sensed you at the USJ when I was taking care of business with All Might and Eraserhead." She gasped, trying to stand, but he laughed. "Don't move too much, pretty. I don't want to hurt you."

"You know what you must do, my son." The man lifted his hand and placed it lightly on the red-haired boy's shoulder. "I understand, father." Kujou Riku said as he grabbed his father's pale hands, lifted them up, and replaced them where they had been. Without saying anything else, the boy turned around and headed towards the plane.
