Avaline didn't love or hate her life. It was just so confusing. Her brothers weren't really there for her, but most of them are in the same house. She didn't have parents and her twin sister has been missing in a space in her heart. If I was going to be really honest? She was really fucking depressed.
.
.
.

So she turned to books. Books were everything to her that the people in her life weren't. Books and the people in it were comforting. After finishing a book, she felt proud of herself--for once--and would dream about those characters.. comforting her, or just saying small meaningless words of encouragement. Most of all, books proved that not all in her life were turned to complete and utter bullshit. Books proved that there was someone out there who had it worse than her, and that was comforting to her. Knowing that someone was probably starving out there on the streets while she was being too depressed to try and get out of bed for a school day made her feel a little bit guilty, too.

But slowly, through her journey, readers can see how much of a deep hole she got herself into. She would sleep, drink, smoke, do drugs, and probably much more to escape reality. Can someone get her out of it before books aren't enough for her to live? Read and find out....
