Mortal Kombat: Fire and Ice
Raiden is in dire need of new protectors for Earthrealm, due to the deaths of Liu Kang and Kung Lao. His search ends when he begins to train once bitter rivals who are now allies. Mortal Kombat and its characters are property of Ed Boon and Netherrealm studios. I am simply a fan and do not wish to claim it as my own. Also this is just an idea I had for a story that takes place after MKX, or Mortal Kombat 10, that focuses on my two favorite characters in the series. Wrote this before MK11 was announced. Anyway, hope you enjoy, and support Mortal Kombat, Ed Boon and NR Studios. I'm hoping to turn this into like a comic. Maybe even a manga or hell even an animated series. Prologue: Millions of years ago, Shinnok, one of the Elder Gods, turned on his fellow deities and invaded the Earthrealm. Raiden, the protector of Earthrealm, along with the Elder Gods stopped Shinnok. Locked him up in his own amulet. Others followed in Shinnok's footsteps, like Outworld's emperor Shao Kahn, who was obsessed with conquering realms. So the Elder Gods began the Mortal Kombat tournaments as a way to even the odds... give Earthrealm a chance. For generations, Shao Kahn followed the Elder Gods' rules. The war moved to the arena, where he sent his toughest fighters to challenge Raiden's greatest defenders in Mortal Kombat. The rules were clear, if Shao Kahn won ten tournaments in a row, he won. But if Earthrealm broke the streak, Kahn would have to start all over again. Outworld won nine tournaments. On the tenth, the monk Liu Kang defeated Shang Tsung and won the tournament, keeping Earthrealm safe. Shao Kahn however, is not going to let victory be taken from him.Complete
