It is interesting how sometimes a single mistake from the past can come back to haunt you in unexpected ways. The weight of guilt is suffocating, making it hard to move on with your life. Have you forgotten the people who you hurt by your actions? And do you deserve such freedom? But can you justify your actions? Can you say that you deserve to live a life free of consequences? These are questions that only you can answer, Flame.
Flame sinned nearly four years ago, and karma has come for him. If he hadn't pressured his friends to venture with him into a restricted area, which was when he unknowingly released the Scarlet Parasite, they might still be here. Everything seemed fine at first, but the consequences of his actions finally caught up with him. The parasite spread like wildfire, wiping out entire towns each night. The infected turned into monstrous beings, relentlessly hunting down the few survivors. An apocalypse created by the one they call The Mother. Spiritual Energy is running haywire, turning them nearly indestructible. Even the most distinguished people from the Sapphire Clan and the Masked Angels Camelia struggle to take them down. Flame is now faced with the duty to find a way to fix the mess he started while also hiding the treacherous secret from everyone around him.

A/N: This story was written by me when I was twelve, and the quality certainly reflects that XD It's not a particularly good story, although feel free to read for the sake of cringe! The experiment to create superhumans. She goes through life watching the humans as they lived from the glass of her little tube. She never thought there was anyway out of the thing and grew to love it. But only while comatose. Whenever she was awake, the world was an uncontrollable agony. What happens when she gets yanked out and has to deal with the horrific reality of what's happened to her? EX-220169 (Flower White): She was on the good end of the experimentation. Only being called once a month to get injected with some odd stuff. Other than those monthly visits, and some superhuman capabilities, she was a normal girl. However, now, innocent kids are being thrown out of their tribe-disowned by their families; outcasted. One by one, each are no longer getting their 'correct' ability, and are removed by force- it feels unavoidable. A group of 8 unique kids, each coming from their own background, have been pushed together after being removed from their tribe. Driven by an urge to find out what is causing this mess- and a hate towards their rulers -the small group pushes on, unsure if they will succeed. Even with all they have been put through, some are still weary of four different tribes being together. Khalil Gibran Simon Riley wasn't a religious man and never believed in angels, but he definitely believed in demons. He'd met them personally. Now essentially dead to the world, he existed, haunted by the demons of his own tragic past, so the idea of there being any goodness left in the world, was an abstract concept that only seemed to apply to other people. As far as he was concerned, the curse that had tainted his whole sorry life, meant that he never would have that opportunity to experience anything other than pain and sorrow. So when the universe, in it's warped sense of timing, finally thought it appropriate to bring him an angel, his negativity and suspicious nature, almost allowed it to pass him by. This work was originally meant to be a short story inspired by "Cry of a Banshee by Blackbriar". However, it merged into another story arc I was writing, and grew from there.
