(Y/N) and Johnny have known each other since middle school. Johnny has been an older brother figure to (Y/N) most of her life so after she graduates high school, the two go traveling to see new places.
It was all pretty normal until they reached Transylvania. Some weird things happen and the two meet people that will change their lives forever.

They've been all over the world ranging from the Pyramids of Egypt, where they found cursed objects and cool mummies, to trying to find the Lost City of Atlantis, which they almost made it to if it weren't for Johnny freaking out over seeing a large shark. This time, they're travelling through Transylvania where all the monster stories they've grown up on have originated from. As they're travelling, they stop at a cabin for the night where an old lady's terrified husband tells them about a haunted forest, and who wouldn't go there? Among the monsters, one species stood apart in their insatiable thirst for human flesh. Unlike vampires, who adapted to feed on animals to avoid persecution, these creatures cared not for the consequences of their hunger - they were the Ghouls. Despite their strength, the Ghoul population began to dwindle mysteriously over the centuries. It was in the year 1893 that a pivotal figure emerged - a boy named Y/n, born to Aloysius and Estella Bloodstone, both prominent Ghouls of the respected Bloodstone lineage. Just a year later, in 1894, Mavis, a young vampire, was born to Count Dracula & Countess Martha, heirs to an ancient and powerful vampire bloodline.
