After getting stuck with strange powers after an encounter with an alien life form (several of which have infested the cities of Eden), Charlemagne "Charlie" Amore is presented with an opportunity to be seen as more than the stuck-up asshole facade he's always put on. To become an actual superhero for the mysterious government organization known as NINE. But plans get a little messy when Charlie meets his teammates, specifically a boy named Rev Lopez, and tensions rise. Will he be able to keep his cool, and be the revered hero he's always wanted to be, admired and loved by all? Or will these new emotions and this boy get in the way, and will Charlie risk it all to get him? THIS IS STILL IN PILOT/TEST PHASE RIGHT NOW!!! That means that whatever chapters/test writings i release may be subject to HEAVY editing and change. This is just a silly little story meant mostly for me and some friends, but I would love to share my characters with you! Enjoy the pilot chapter, which gives a small peek at our protagonist, Charlie, as well as gives a taste of my writing style. It's a little barebones, but we'll get there!

As humans, you have to fight irrelevance. There are seven billion humans on Earth, approximately. Every time someone dies, someone is born to replace them, to mask the pain of loss. You, as one person, do not exist to around six billion, nine hundred ninety-nine million, nine hundred ninety-nine thousand, nine hundred ninety-five people, if you are truly loved by five persons. Luck of the draw, life on Earth is. At least, that's what the human species chooses to believe. Now, knowing more alien species exist than human races, Lance feels suffocated. He has to fight even more for that little bit of relevance, to get acknowledged. Even being the blue lion of Voltron doesn't make much difference, since rarely do they actually see him . ____________________________________________________________________ A promised vacation isn't as relaxing as Lance hopes. [Alt: Lance is forced to face his multitude of issues, which involves a slightly irritating alien 'therapist'. Totally not his idea of a break, if you ask him.]
