In New Orleans, Louisiana, 23 year old Melanin Sanchez, who works as a full time waitress in her uncle's food business Uncle Rays Creole Kitchen, she notices on this particular day of serving a nice respectful guy, Kareem, whose a full time party planner, he decides to take her career to the next level as his "assistant" but when things start to get out of control she begins to gain more than what she bargained for, which leads her life in harms way.
