24-year-old Jedi Battlemaster Zane Merrick was left behind to burn on the lava banks of Mustafar, broken and defeated by Darth Malgus. What he doesn't expect is for his fellow Jedi, including the woman he loves, to just leave him behind without looking back. Merrick hates Malgus, but the anger and rage he feels towards the Jedi has far passed what he feels towards the man that sent him tumbling down the fiery banks of the lava river with out his arms. What will happen when Zane dies and becomes something new? What will happen when Zane kills his past for good and becomes a threat the galaxy will fear more than any Sith or galaxy-wide threat before? Will the galaxy burn down in flames as Zane Merrick once did, or can he find a small bit of redemption in a past he thought he had left behind?

The Jedi codex does not allow for attachments, a Sith by nature does not have attachments, yet, she loves a man, but their love is under a dark star. Used, rather abused, by the dark side for its own plan. Guided by the force, she finds Yoda on Dagobah.
