Sophia Stilinski has had unexplainable powers since she was a kid. She never thought anything of it. That is, until her brother's best friend gets bit by a demonic murderous werewolf.

Thrust into the supernatural world hidden in the shadows of Beacon Hills, the trio has to figure out how to live normal lives, whilst protecting the people they love. Seems like a lot for the average sophmore, but they manage it well enough.

As her friends take on the role of protectors, Sophia is troubled by a stange thought, is she really human, or is something more lurking beneath the surface.

Having discovered her true self, she tries to save her brother from losing himself, but ends up losing others along the way.

Making new friends is hard enough, but add in the fear of murderers, and the task of protecting innocents, and it's a lot harder to handle.

With her friends by her side, new and old, she is ready to face whatever the world throws at her small Californian town. But nothing could've prepared her for what lies ahead.

What will she do when a boy - who has held her heart since she was four - returns to her life, intending to destroy everything she's ever known?
