"I wouldn't call it stalking." He rebuked. "Just watching your every move from a distance."

"Which is the definition of stalking." I countered.

"Stalking would make me a predator, but I wish you no harm." He said, his lips curling into a smirk. "Consider it guarding."

"Guarding implies protecting."

"Indeed."

"From what, might I ask?"

His smirk widened to a grin worthy of Cheshire Cat and I was certain I was conversing with a mad man. "Faeries."
