Like all of us surely have, thirteen-year-old Malcolm Bennett has seen the way love is glamorized in film and literature, not to mention the overwhelming euphoria that seems to emanate from his own parents. Yet unfortunately, over time that euphoria begins to fade, and in its wake remains a lot of doubt and unanswered questions. If his own parents' love was able to fade, how powerful can this "unbreakable feeling" that everyone seems to boast about truly be?

Well, Malcolm is on a mission! After Malcolm's science teacher, Mr. Jacobs, assigns all his students a year-long project asking them to conduct an experiment of their choosing and present their findings, Malcolm is provided with an appropriate outlet to seek out the answers he is so desperately looking for. He decides to embark on his very own love experiment, with the primary goal being to secure his very first girlfriend, and hopefully experience this magical feeling of love firsthand.

While going through last years' yearbook, Malcolm is able to seek out three suitable candidates for his experiment, effectively initiating his courtship efforts. But will Malcolm truly be able to find love this way? And how will these girls react when the truth behind Malcom's efforts is finally revealed to them?

Falling for the Last Person I'd Ever Love... And Yet by hazelbrown18
36 parts Complete
What if a cat and a dog tolerate each other? Not in peace--obviously--but in wildly dysfunctional harmony. That's Seraphina and Kai-she strikes first with chaos and claws, he retaliates with passive-aggressive sarcasm and emotional warfare. It's not a romance. It's a tactical battlefield with feelings. For as long as they can remember, Seraphina Voss and Kai Sterling have been locked in elite-level rivalry. Not the flirty kind. No---this is cold-war chaos between two rich kids raised like family (ew), trapped in the same social circles (double ew), and trained in the fine art of mutual sabotage. But when one dramatic arrest pushes their families over the edge, they're given the worst punishment imaginable: working together. In the same office. With real jobs. Corporate hell---but make it personal. To make matters worse, they've both caught feelings for other people. Desperate to escape each other and this soul-sucking job, they strike a deal: Seraphina helps Kai win his "perfect" girl. Kai plays wingman for Seraphina's dream guy. Clean. Simple. Foolproof. Until it all starts falling apart, thanks to office warfare, many "accidental" double dates, and emotionally violent wars in silence. Because somewhere between strategic humiliation and whatever emotionally compromising event just went down, they might be falling for the one person they hate the most. And it's not about who falls first. It's how they fall. ⚠️ Contains verbal combat, morally questionable pranks, dangerously slow-burning tension, and at least one chair thrown in the name of love. © Hazel Brown. All rights reserved. 'Love is like a child, That longs for everything it can come by' -William Shakespeare _______________________________________________________ Maya Matthews is the description of perfection, or as she has been addressed. She excels in every field she steps her foot into, be it from her perfect grades to being the best daughter a parent could ask for, you name it. Her tenderness is what attracts every guy's attention. She seems to have everything she could ask for. What could possibly be wrong with her near to perfect life? Everything we see is a perspective, not the truth. Maya has her demons that she desperately attempts to hide from the world that not a single soul knows about. Shawn Daniels is the perfect storm and the missing puzzle in Maya's life. He is the polar opposite of Maya. Smart, confident, and witty. He's often misunderstood for a bad boy, who has quite a handful of girls swooning over him. He's a carefree soul. He is the yin to her yang. What happens when they cross paths and Shawn unleashes Maya's dark secrets? Will he succeed in his mission to pull Maya out of her past, and show what life has to offer? But life is certainly not a bed of roses and nothing comes as easy. _______________________________________________________ They say love can overcome anything. You never exactly know when it will strike and turn your life upside down. Love will make you doubt every single thing that you believe in yet you will find yourself drowning in it slowly, very slowly but deeply. _______________________________________________________ All rights reserved © 2020-Shrya1712

{COMPLETE BxB} Cole Parker Blane. He's known for being stuck up and short-tempered and an emotional wreck, and if you asked him he'd probably agree with you. But when certain circumstances land him Snowbound with his so-called "enemy" Leroy Katz, it leaves the two isolated from the outside world and forced to indulge in one of their own. One that includes a trip to the past and uncovers a lot of what led their relationship to this point, and possibly move it forward. ~ ~ ~ This is a story I wrote for a competition with the prompt. "Focus on one chapter of a much more complicated and longer story" so it's pretty short, but I really enjoyed trying a new writing style and it was actually quite good for my skills. I hope you all enjoy this story and love the characters. as much as I do.
