In modern day Hyrule, Link is an orphan who lives in an orphanage. Because he is meant to be the Hero of Hyrule, his bunkmates get jealous and bully him for it. When Link enters first grade, he befriends Zelda, the most beautiful girl in Hyrule, and eventually falls in love with her. The two become inseparable, but everything changes when Zelda hits puberty; she vanishes and doesn't show up at school. Link tries to contact and find her, but no luck. The Princess and Her Knight - A Breath of the Wild FanFiction
Before the Great Calamity, Zelda and Link travel amongst Hyrule together. They must learn to tolerate each other on their journey. Zelda, having barely been able to leave the castle much before him, discovered her sense of adventure when she went out with Link. Is it possible that the two of them harbored a secret admiration for each other than ran deeper than friendship? Or would Link maintain his silence and not speak to the princess at all? This story flashes back from before and after the Great Calamity. What happens after Link defeats Calamity Ganon? This story is very long, but if I do say so myself, I think it's worth it! There will be a sequel. Contains spoilers. I DO NOT OWN THESE CHARACTERS OR ANYTHING/MONOLOGUE THAT HAPPENED IN THE GAME, it belongs to Nintendo.
