She gazed at me blankly like I'd stitched her heart, my hidden motives pulling at its strings, luring her deeper into my grasp, only to tear it apart with a devastating force, leaving her broken and longing.
She looked at me like I was a stranger.
"𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥𝘯'𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘥, 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘦, 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘦𝘢𝘮," I replied nonchalantly, as if I wasn't already holding myself back from gripping her arm and pulling her into my chest.
Her mismatched eyes, one blue and the other green, brimmed with tears, their beauty magnified by the shimmering droplets within. A single tear escaped, trailing down her cheek, but she swiftly brushed it away with a harsh gesture.
That's it. That's my girl. Don't cry over me. Hate me, but never cry.
