Portland, Oregon is a great place for kids to grow up. And so are the many communities that surround Portland. Located about twelve miles west-south west of Portland is a small community called Hazeldale. Hazeldale is an unincorporated community in Washington County. Six eleven-year-old kids in particular love Hazeldale. They started a club called the Treehouse Club Chronicles, a club that investigates incidents and transgressions that happen in their neighborhood and community.
These amateur sleuths hold their meetings in a treehouse, which is how their club got its name. Most fifth graders would be into school activities, sports, video games or hanging out with friends. Not these kids. They all love to take on a mystery and solve it.
The leader of the rag tag group is Liam. He is joined by Benjamin, James, Emily, Olivia and Victoria. Liam has two trained Labrador retrievers named Duke and Daisy.
One of their neighbors recently had three Christmas gnomes' decorations stolen from her front yard. The Treehouse Club had a new misdeed to solve. But, during their investigation, they will end up finding out more than they had bargained for. This is a mystery unlike any that they had solved before. Is it possible that gnomes really do exist?
Elliot Jensen and Elliot Fintry have a lot in common. They share the same name, the same house, the same school, oh and they hate each other but, as they will quickly learn, there is a fine line between love and hate.
