Maddie's life had changed drastically ever since her parents divorced when she was five. It changed again when her mother was laid off from her job last year, and was head-hunted for another one in London, England, but could only afford to live in Blackpool, about three hours away. Living in a different country was interesting, but it often came with its downsides. Making friends had always been hard for her. At least she had her mother with her, despite her long commute.
