Just as things were about to wind down, a new threat to the valley appears in the form of thorny bramble that chokes the land. Döringner, the god of luck, says that it is an ancient curse that is spreading from King Nils, the Mountain King, in the North. If that weren't bad enough, the bramble brings with it a new, dangerous enemy that Maddie and her crew have no idea how to face. Not everyone will come out of it unscathed. Will the merry band be able to overcome this new challenge? Or will the world be plunged into darkness?

'4 Tribes, 4 Times we are used, 4 times we are separated for someone's thoughts on how this should be, and you wonder- was it always like this?' Four different tribes, based off of the four elements, have always been separate. Different rules, different royalty, different religions, different looks, different traditions, and different abilities embedded into each tribe. It's what make each one unique from the other. However, now, innocent kids are being thrown out of their tribe-disowned by their families; outcasted. One by one, each are no longer getting their 'correct' ability, and are removed by force- it feels unavoidable. A group of 8 unique kids, each coming from their own background, have been pushed together after being removed from their tribe. Driven by an urge to find out what is causing this mess- and a hate towards their rulers -the small group pushes on, unsure if they will succeed. Even with all they have been put through, some are still weary of four different tribes being together. Maybe this was meant to be? o° --- If you have read Paws in Talons, you will know that this is remake, using a little inspiration from what we wrote about a year ago from now.
