    Eighteen-year-old Luna Livingston has lived her whole life in Camp Salem—a concentration camp for witches and warlocks built shorty after the 'War on Witches.' When millions of people fall into a coma, the IPA (International Peace Alliance) thinks it is caused by a strange plague. Not being able to find the cure themselves, the IPA turns to the witches in Camp Salem for help. 
    What the IPA thinks is a plague, turns out to be a curse cast by the evil warlock Rothbart. Luna, her best friend William and a hand-picked group of witches are recruited to break the curse. In return, and if they succeed, all witches will be given their freedom. When they arrive at the president of the IPC's cabin, he informs them they are not the first witches to try and break the curse—and that the others who tried died horrible deaths.
