It's happening again. He's toying with that girl's emotions and this time her heart has not the stamina to stop him. He will wage war on the very epitome of her mind, snatching away every bitter-sweet, love-laced thought that even mocks affection. I will not stop him. I cant. So she sits , hopelessly staring off into the distant wondering when or if she will return. I feel her drift away..to be lost in that soul-sickening sea of anguish but again I don’t stop her. I know now that it would be pointless. That even if one day she does return the only emotion she will be able to bear shall be grief. She will sit and rot away the rest of her days in a passive state of remorse and I will not blame her. You see it was me. Me who toyed with fate. Me who thought maybe love could save her but I was wrong. I did not protect her as I should have. I set her free to explore the wonders of the world around her; to love so damn hard that it sparks flames in the cavities of someone else's heart, to speak with such might that it rattles the very foundation of the ground she walks on. I declared her to be unstoppable but then there was you. You. You who caused rivers of butterflies to flutter mercilessly around in her stomach, you who caused brilliant rays of sunshine to surge from her lips at every tiny utterance of your name. It was you who led her straight to Hell.
