It had been a long day. Despite the sound of music and cheers sliding in through the doors, Yieun was almost falling asleep. She tried to stretch her legs and arms in an attempt to wake herself up, but the sleeve of her dress got stuck to a hairpin. Shit.

Before she could free herself, she heard the door creak, and then footsteps. She sat facing away from the door, so she didn't see her husband's face until he had made his way in front of her. 

"Are you alright?" Naevren tilted his head slightly, studying his new wife. 

"I apologise, My Lord, I got myself stuck." Yieun wanted to sink through the floor. This was not how she wanted to greet her husband.

Gingerly, Naevren detangled her clothes from her hairpin, then proceeded to remove the rest of her hairpins. He was standing close to her, and Yieun felt like she could feel the warmth radiating from his body.
