Out of every world you could be reborn into, Grey fell into the wrong one. He was born as an 86, but the worst of it was he could hear the voices. They yelled at him, told him to die, to kill, to live, to fight. His whole squad was dead, and he was disconnected from command, so he fought on, taking parts from downed Legion to do his best to repair an already wreaked machine. His battle was alone, until the fateful day he met up with Spearhead Squadron. Can Spearhead Squadron help Grey return to a normal state, or will he perish among the flames of war?

In the year 2148 a army of AI controlled machines called the Legion have at this point controlled most of the world. The surviving countries of the world are barely hanging on by a thread against this seemingly unstoppable threat, and due to this many atrocities have occurred because of it. In the Republic of San Magnolia the people of the country, members of the Alba race have forced members of other races onto the battlefield to fight off the legion and designated them all, Eighty-Six. Thousands of people have died while the Alba live comfy lives inside the walls of the republic. Now the only people left on the battlefield are the children of the Eighty-Six. This story takes place with one of these squadrons of children on the battlefield, Spearhead Squadron. I do not own the story that inspired this. The original author of the light novel belongs to Asato Asato who has written such a great story that I love.
