The Coming Storm

"Clouds are swirling, a storm is near,
Sightless eyes watch the sun disappear...
A battle that washes the canyon blood red,
Perhaps it was easier to move on instead?"

After moons of wandering from place to place, RockClan has finally found what it hopes will be a permanent home: a red rock canyon where the dangers of the past moons seem far off. The prey here is plentiful, the water clean, and the only illness to be caught is heatstroke from the burning midday sun - or so it would seem, until Sparrowstar's last life is taken by the poison of a rattlesnake.

It is the first of the many tragedies that follow and six young cats are left in the aftermath, a prophecy on their paws. Each one has a part to play if the Clan is to survive, but the prophecy is full of twists and turns, hard to understand. All the while, a storm creeps closer, bringing with it a new threat and challenging even the loyalties of the most honourable cats.

Reluctant to wander again and too stubborn to give up easily, the Clan will battle through thick and thin to keep its new home - but at what cost? Six cats, using a prophecy as their guide, are the only thing standing in the way of the coming storm.
