Coded Malfunction

This is supposed to be a short story if I try to turn it into a novel somebody come and punch me in the throat please💚💚.

Also this story is about a scientist and his adopted Biobot. The Biobot turns into the subject of massive uproars of controversy and protests all over the country, bringing up the debate arguing whether he should get the rights of a human boy. The scientist tries to balance ethics and logic while the government juggles economic and political profits, and amidst the battle of legality and business, the whole world throws rocks at the boy in question.
After all, flesh or machine, we all have codes, and all codes have malfunctions.
