The Outcast Daughter of Hortons

In Valerie Horton's previous life, she was the eldest daughter of the Horton family, one of the wealthiest families in Capstead. Yet, one day, her little sister went missing, and Valerie was cast out for not watching after her.
From then on, Valerie had to live on her own. On her 20th birthday, she was diagnosed with a terminal illness. A few months later, she died of grief.

Bruce Horton, her second eldest brother, begged, "Valerie, do you have a favorite star in showbiz? I can get you his or her autograph if you stay."
Tristan Horton, Bruce's twin and Valerie's youngest brother, promised, "Valerie, I'll design the most beautiful one-and-only dress for you."
About her brothers' pleading, Valerie only had one reply. "Thanks. I'll pass."
Only one person had firmly stood by Valerie's side. He had been secretly watched over Valerie and cleared every obstacle in her path.
After Valerie left her family, he hurriedly came to her.
