What would come of a relationship between an ex-Nazi and a Jew? No one would think there would be a romance or even an engagement. Daniel Cohen, rather, Daniel Schröder is a Jewish reporter who falls for Hitler's 'sunshine' Gretchen Müller. It didn't take long for them to fall for each other and leave Germany in 1931. Now, years later they have settled in London, England, currently 1936, Gretchen has taken her adoptive parents' name, her new name Gretchen Müller-Whitestone. Gretchen now has to deal with her future-mother-in-law antics and hatred, but gets along well with Daniel's younger sisters. TW: There may be mention of abuse, Nazis, animal death and antisemitism
