Aelia, a practicing High Elf healer, has a hidden past and uses her work to try forget it. She tries to avoid the dark as much as she can, but when she meets a certain vampire who is trapped in the shadows, will she be able to get over her fear of the darkness.

Astarion ascended just like he wanted. Tav helped just like he asked. People change just like they were warned. Fair warning: Ascended Astarion is the villain, Tav frequently disassociates and justifies Astarion's behavior to themselves and the other companions. Domestic violence is implied but not depicted out-right. Verbal abuse is kept to a minimum. Two major characters will die eventually. An alternative epilogue at Withers' party. Still in progress but I feel inspired and it's a short one. I will probably update frequently I haven't written fanfiction in 11 years.
