They eventually leave everything behind to go on an adventure north across the US to get to Washington where they hope to be able to start new there and escape their past while keeping in touch with their friends back home. The world gets larger as they meet a larger militarized group on their journey. They will eventually learn if this journey was really worth all that they lost along the way.
