When Draco Malfoy enters Flourish and Blotts to buy school books for his son Scorpius he stumbles upon a book signing by popular romance author Hannah Abbott. It has been twenty years since he has last spoken to her, but he never truly got over the Hufflepuff girl who rejected him. Intrigued, he gets in line and buys her newest novel. The dedication she leaves for him in the book makes him wonder if it isn't too late to make amends for the things he has done when he was younger.
