Loki's managed to escape Asgardian imprisonment, only to end up in the hands of SHIELD. As they try to heal from the wounds that haunt them both physically and mentally, they just can't speak up to explain to anybody that they never wanted to be the villain.
But it's not only SHIELD and the Avengers that think they're to blame for all the wrongdoings that have been happening...
