This is a story of mistaken guilt in a small town. After two colleagues accidentally kill an outsider in the alley behind the bar they rush to cover their tracks. Unbeknownst to them an elderly couple and a group of preteen girls are also under the impression that they have killed the same stranger. The stories of each groups' plan to hide the body become intertwined as they race against the clock and each other to cover up the evidence. As the adults struggle with what to do with the body, Lauren Olson and her preteen friends take action finding creative and unexpected ways to take care of the problem themselves. Everyone is entangled in everyone else's business, highlighting the problems of trying to get away with anything under the watchful eyes of your community.
