Sixteen-year-old Fin was twelve when her fertility was taken from her. Procreation is banned for those living in the Fewer; the impoverished bottom floor of a city built upward. From the sky, those in the Above live in luxury, free from the thick smog that is product of decades of pollution. When rebellion boils in the F-floor, their leader gets called up—and doesn’t return.
