High above in the clouds, a white-hair phantom glided across rooftops, sword in hand, and bound to an endless journey far beyond her reach.

With dark onyx eyes, she followed his fleeting silhouette - the only one privy to this otherworldly sight. Wherever she went, his transient presence always drew her gaze. Like the seasons, he came and went, and one blink was all it took for him to vanish. It won't be until next time, whether that was days, weeks or months from now, that she would see him again.

In a world of ordinary people, Karin was like any other. Well...if you discount her exceptional spiritual prowess, then she was relatively normal. Although, unlike her brother, she had little interest in intermingling with the supernatural world.

However, a freak accident would turn her life upside down as she woke up in none other than... the afterlife? Thrown into the Soul Society with her memories intact, Karin is determined to return to the world of the living, meeting familiar faces along the way. Since the rewritten version is taking much longer to fix, I thought, why not upload the original version as a safekeeping, and for people to laugh over my terrible writing from when I was a pre-teen? LOL. I've changed some minor things because some stuff I wrote was WIDELY inappropriate, especially for my age. However, everything is, nonetheless, the same (bad grammar, severe typos, crazy dialogue). On a serious note, though, I realised that to be cringe is to be free and that's what led to me re-uploading this fic. It's stuff like this that encapsulated my childhood, the excitement I felt writing each chapter, and the thrill of seeing other like-minded people root for a ship. Writing was and still continues to be my catharsis in life, and it's guided me throughout the years. As lame as it sounds, this fanfic changed my life and made me realise that, no matter how good or bad, it's always worth trying to put yourself out there. Probably no one will see this now since we've all grown up and moved on to bigger and better stories. But I want to thank the OG people who liked my fic almost a decade ago, and I hope this will also be a fun trip down the memory lane.
