Yoichi Asakawa was a handsome young Japanese man. After living through the horrible experience against Sadako, the rageful and evil Onryo, as a child he grew up to be a marine biologist. One day a thick black Fog engulfed Yoichi and sent him to a horrific and deadly realm created by a mysterious Entity. He'd been living among the Fog with the other survivors and killers, trapped for what seemed like a long time. He wasn't always bothered too much by the killers, until one day two new survivors appeared; Ada Wong and Rebecca Chambers. And they brought a friend with them, a dangerous, sadistic, and intelligent friend who had pure evil in his heart. When Yoichi faces this man, he seems to have caught his attention... By breaking his sunglasses. Now the Mastermind will not leave Yoichi alone, in fact he gets more erratic.

But it does not stay a terrifying and gruesome relationship... Yoichi's natural scientific and supernatural curiosity starts to make things take an unexpected turn as he learns more about Albert Wesker and gets closer to the Virologist.
