The Inevitable Fate
After defeating Delphi, Albus and Scorpius are back in Hogwarts, right in the middle of their fifth year. Things are wholly different, now. Scorpius and Rose are dating, walking hand-in-hand in the corridors and Albus cannot help but feel jealous of the two. The sweltering question was: why was he jealous? Some things, however, remained the same. The bullies. The prejudice. The uncertainty. But that wasn't the worst of it. Albus thought he could forget about the horrors of what had happened last year with Delphi, but after a sinister lesson orchestrated by a familiar face, it seems that the past has a firm grip on both Albus and Scorpius. While his brother inherited mischief and popularity, Albus gets his father's knack for finding himself in the middle of sticky situations. He's dreading his first year, especially the sorting, worried that he won't have the skills to make it through. But he isn't alone. *trigger warning for basically this whole story* After they returned from time, Albus had assumed that everything would work as it always did. Maybe with a little bit of change. That little bit of change was one of the biggest things Albus had ever experienced and his life began to spiral downwards. Neither he nor Scorpius seemed to get better, not really. Delphi returned again. And there was the small matter that he might, just might, have fallen in love with his best friend. Except it was just being worried about him. Nothing was wrong. It was fine. It was fine...Complete

This story follows up the events of the Cursed Child. Albus and Scorpius are about to start a new year at Hogwarts, hoping for a peaceful year. However it all takes a turn once they hear about sudden muggle attacks and a mysterious escape from Azkaban. Could this all mean the battle isn't over?
