In the quiet village of San Miguel, nestled among emerald hills and cobblestone streets, I, Maria, invite you to journey into the depths of darkness in "The Dissector's Descent." Set against the backdrop of the 1970s, this tale follows the curious path of a young girl who, like Frodo Baggins, succumbs to the allure of a forbidden quest.

As I transcribe my diary, you'll bear witness to the unfolding of a macabre obsession that mirrors the journey of Gollum, bound to his Precious. But in my story, there is no Mordor, no Mount Doom-only the relentless pursuit of knowledge at any cost.

Follow along as the villagers of San Miguel turn from friends to a frenzied mob, hunting me down like the Ringwraiths pursued Frodo. And as my dark descent culminates in a public trial and a gruesome execution, you'll discover the consequences of unbridled curiosity.

"The Dissector's Descent" is a cautionary tale that explores the boundaries of morality and the depths to which one's obsession can lead. It serves as a reminder that, much like Frodo, we must tread carefully on the path of curiosity, for the shadows we encounter may consume us entirely.

This was a simple visit to a distant land, yet the journey made a second hobbit into legend. And thus, her story begins when she took her first true step, from the Shire to the Lonely Mountain, hobbits to dwarves, past to future, and loneliness to love.
