Riley and Will have been together for years and are happy together in their little apartment in their little college town with their cat, Nebula,

Five weeks before a research trip Riley and Will were to go on with their colleagues, Will breaks his leg and has to stay home or risk life altering complications.
As tensions rise in their relationship, Riley finds herself on a 20 hour plane ride with a glaringly empty seat next to her, headed out on the adventure of a lifetime.
They were doomed anyway right? It's okay she went on her own?
