were at a different village for a vacation then,some random people attacked the village. Sakura's parents died and Sakura and Yahiko managed to escape. They were both seperated while their escape but still remember each other. Sakura lives with their grandparents in Konoha.While Yahiko became an orphan again. He also found out he has inherited the nine tails and the sharingan from both parents. After that one fight, the rest is history.
