Now, being the person she is, my home on the Isle of the Lost was filled with her screams of cutting off the heads of the island's habitants. Any volume above normal speaking becomes too loud, and if it's loud and sudden enough, sounds can harm my ears- seriously. She found out about my weakness quickly, something I had vowed I would hide from everyone on the Isle. But instead of exploiting my weakness like anyone else would, she welcomed me into her friend group, and they became a better family to me than my mother ever could be.
