Submission for LGBTQ+ 2023 Halloween Vault contest. Nothing happens in the small rural town of Lancaster, Massachusetts. When a group of friends rent the infamous Loiselle mansion for the Halloween party of the decade, things start to change. At one time--before the existence of J.P. Rondeau and his friends--it was a vibrant estate with rows of corn fields, vegetables, and the biggest pumpkin patch in Massachusetts. In a house full of history and mystery, the five friends discover a relic--a diary of one of the deceased family members--that reveals a first hand account of the life of a gay man a hundred and six years ago. To J.P., it reveals something far more. At this discovery, peculiar events start to occur, making J.P. question everything, including his own sanity.
